My Approach

Therapy doesn’t have to be stuffy; it just has to be human.

My style is down-to-earth, curious, and collaborative. I’m not here to judge or hand you cookie-cutter solutions. Instead, I help you uncover what you really want, why certain patterns keep showing up, and how to make changes that actually stick. Sometimes that looks like deep conversations, sometimes it looks like laughter, and sometimes it’s as simple as learning a new way to respond in the moment. Therapy with me is real, practical, and tailored to you.

Methods I Use

  • Think of your mind like a family; different parts of you show up with opinions, feelings, and agendas. Maybe there’s the part that pushes you to be perfect, the part that wants to please everyone, and the part that’s tired of carrying it all. IFS helps you understand those parts instead of fighting them so that they can work together instead of against you.

  • Relationships get stuck in loops: you say something, your partner reacts, you react to their reaction, and suddenly you’re in the same fight again. EFT slows this down so you can both see what’s really happening underneath, usually a need to feel connected, loved, or understood. From there, you can learn to fight in ways that bring you closer instead of pushing you apart.

  • Sometimes the most powerful thing is realizing you’re not broken, your brain and body are just doing what they were wired to do after your experiences. Psychoeducation is like getting the owner’s manual for yourself. You’ll learn why anxiety hijacks your system, why stress shows up physically, and how to work with those responses instead of fearing them.

  • Every couple has a fighting style, and chances are, it’s not working well. Maybe one of you shuts down while the other gets louder, or maybe you both attack instead of solving. Master Conflict Theory helps identify those stuck patterns and teaches you how to disagree in ways that actually resolve issues instead of creating new ones.

Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. We’ll use the tools and approaches that fit you best, and leave the rest. My job isn’t to tell you who to be, but to help you uncover the path that feels right for you.
