About Michelle

Hi, I’m Michelle, and therapy is actually my third career. I started out in entertainment, then moved into education, and eventually found my way here. Along the way, I kept meeting smart, ambitious people who were great at solving everyone else’s problems but quietly wrestling with anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or tricky relationship dynamics.

If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and you’re exactly who I love working with.

My Approach

How I Got Here

My winding career path taught me something important: most of us are really good at figuring out what everyone else needs, but surprisingly bad at knowing what we actually want for ourselves. I’ve seen brilliant people burn out, professionals struggle with imposter syndrome, and caring individuals lose themselves in trying to keep everyone else happy.

That’s what drew me to therapy: not the neat, textbook version, but the real, messy, human version where we figure out how to play the cards we’ve been dealt a little bit better.

I earned my MFT from Thomas Jefferson University in 2015 and became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Pennsylvania in 2018. But honestly, my most important training has been sitting across from people who trusted me with their stories and walking with them toward change.

My style is down-to-earth, curious, and collaborative. I’m not here to judge or hand out cookie-cutter solutions. Instead, I’ll help you uncover what you really want, why certain patterns keep showing up, and how to make changes that actually stick.

Sometimes I’ll make jokes, quote movies, or very occasionally swear — because therapy doesn’t have to feel like sitting in a stuffy office whispering about your feelings.

Depending on your needs, we might use approaches like Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, or Master Conflict Theory, but we’ll always go with what feels right for you.

Beyond the Office

When I’m not in sessions, I’m usually with my husband, our two kids, and our dog, often negotiating what counts as “real food” at dinner. I’m a proud Philadelphian, but Maine’s rocky coast has my heart. And yes, I have a slightly ridiculous pressed penny collection, tiny souvenirs that remind me it’s the little things that matter.
